Donald H. Ross, 92, of Gouverneur, and formerly of Crown Point, passed away on Friday, Feb. 24, 2017.
Born in Ticonderoga, June 17, 1924, he was the son of the late Ralph and Ruth (Bevins) Ross.
Mr. Ross was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II as a pilot. He flew in the military operation of the Berlin Airlift, which delivered supplies into West Berlin.
Donald has been a resident of Crown Point for most of his life and was a graduate of Crown Point High School.
He was employed as a Service Technician for Viking Engineering of Minneapolis, Minn., for many years.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marie Brock Ross; and one daughter, Donna Skinner.
Survivors include his four children, Timothy Ross of Virginia, Douglas Ross of Ticonderoga, Melinda Dickinson of New Jersey, and Perry Ross of Crown Point. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will take place at a later date.
