Mrs. Denise F. Wells, 71, of Iowa Street, Plattsburgh, NY passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Champlain Valley Senior Center in Willsboro, NY with her loving family by her side. She was born in Montreal, Canada on June 18, 1945 the daughter of Guerine Sabetta and Jacqueline Sirois. Denise was self-employed as a book keeper. She enjoyed doing stained glass, painting and spending time with family and friends. Denise was a member of the Newcomers Club and Our Lady of Victory Church.
She was predeceased by her parents, a step daughter Derna Wells Laybourne, four sisters-in-law; Sheila Schneider, Joan Harris, Ida Kathryn Stone, Veronica Veron St. Denis-Light, three brothers-in-law Donald Don Stone, Robert Bob Collins and Leland Lee Buckley.
Denise is survived by her husband of thirty two years Reginald C. Reggie Wells of Plattsburgh, a step son Derrick Wells and his wife Susan of Saranac, a step daughter Deborah Wells of Plattsburgh, a brother Pierre Sabetta and his companion Ginette of Montreal, three sisters; Susan Alvaro and her husband Vincent of Boucherville, Sylvie Sabetta and her companion Dean of Montreal, Maryse Sabetta and her companion Francois of Montreal, three brothers-in-law; Lawrence Bucky Wells and his wife Sandra of Melbourne Beach, FL, Charles Chucky Wells and his wife Mathilde of Columbus, GA, James Jimmy Wells of Melbourne Beach, FL, three sisters-in-law; Geraldine Nero of Hudson, NY, Carol Buckley of Plattsburgh, Mary Collins of Columbia, SC, three step grandchildren; Seth and Natasha Wells, Nina Laybourne Averbeck and her husband Ryan, two step great grandchildren; Conrad and Hazel Wells, two nieces; Melissa and Claudia and many step-nieces and step-nephews.
Calling hours will be Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 noon at Our Lady of Victory Church with the Rev. William G. Reamer, presiding Pastor as celebrant.
Interment will follow at St. Peters Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice or Camp Ta-Kum-Ta in care of the Brown Funeral Home.
