Bruce's Story

Bruce Alan Gillam, 58, of Sunset Drive, Willsboro, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017 at the UVM Health Network, CVPH in Plattsburgh, after a long illness.
He was born in Troy, N.Y., August 16, 1958, the son of Paul Sr. and Mary (Littlejohn) Gillam. Bruce grew up in Green Island and graduated from Heatly School in 1976. He resided in Clifton Park, N.Y. for many years and finally in Willsboro, N.Y. in the Adirondacks.
Bruce became a tinsmith working as a roofer for many years and as a skilled construction and rehabilitation mechanic. He was also was a self employed contractor throughout the years and worked for American Tissue in Mechanicville, N.Y.
Bruce enjoyed his family, camping, fishing and hunting and all of the outdoors life in the Adirondacks. He loved the serenity of campfires. He was a dedicated Atlanta Falcons Fan and his lifelong dream of a Superbowl Championship was almost fulfilled.
Left to cherish the memory of Bruce are, his wife, Terri Gillam of Willsboro; stepson, Justin; son, Bruce (Maryann) Gillam; daughter, Bethany Gillam; six grandchildren; brother and pal, Paul Gillam; brother, Brent (Leigh) Gillam; sisters, Mary (Gillam) Bryant, and Cheryl Gillam; several nieces and nephews; and many cousins, aunts and uncles.
At Bruce's request there will be no public calling hours or services.
