Ann Elizabeth Pabst (nee Duntley) passed away peacefully on March 28, 2017, surrounded by her loving family and children.
Ann was born in Elizabethtown, N.Y., on Jan. 3, 1935, and graduated from Plattsburgh State College in 1958. She married Frank Pabst and enjoyed 53 years with him. She worked initially as a substitute teacher while raising her four children then provided loving care as a teacher at Christ Child Nursery for over 20 years. She also dedicated her time to her husband's many endeavors, including Juniper Boat Tours.
Ann's children and grandchildren were her greatest joys. Ann was an accomplished seamstress, lover of antiques, and avid reader. She enjoyed watching the changes in Lake Champlain from her deck.
Ann is survived by her children, Eric Pabst (Ernie Edwards), Jaime Pabst (Michele), Tracy Lasko (Tom) and Jody Pabst (Michael Drumke).
Ann was a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren, Thomas and Amanda Pabst, Katie and Caroline Lasko, and Kayla and Max Drumke and a loyal sister to her siblings, Hilda Mann, Nancy Fournier (Joe), Fay Babbie (Wendell) and brothers Alan (Tammy), Leon (Jocelyne), Mickey (Eleanor) and Lynn Duntley.
In addition to her husband, Ann was predeceased by her daughter, Shari and her siblings, Russell Duntley and Audrey Jean Ames (Ivan) and sister-in-law, Nona Duntley.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place at a later date in the spring in the Lewis Cemetery in Lewis, N.Y.
