Events

Yvonne Gardner (91) passed away peacefully in her home in Florida on Feb. 19, 2019. Yvonne was born on Nov. 26, 1927, in Tupper Lake, N.Y. Her mother and fathers were Rose and Reule Beausoliel and life time companion Frank Merlino. Yvonne was the only girl of five brothers; Brainard Beausoliel, Roland Beausoliel, Maurice Beausoliel, Joseph Beausoliel, and Frank Beausoliel. Yvonne met Maynard Gardner at a diner in Tupper Lake, N.Y. They settled next to her husband's family, the Gardner's, in Altona, N.Y., until Maynard built Yvonne her dream home on Pickett's Corner Road in Saranac, N.Y. Yvonne and Maynard had six children, Dan Gardner of Tupper Lake, N.Y., Steve and Nancy (Sochia) Gardner of Colorado Springs, Colo., Valery Gardner of Leesburg, Fla., Joe and Carol Gardner of Umitilla, Fla., Shelly (Gardner) and Dale Weidenhamer of Leesburg, Fla., and her diseased youngest son, David Gardner, of Saranac, N.Y. Yvonne and Maynard had 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Yvonne was a wonderful wife, loving mother and loyal friend. As a cooking and baking enthusiast, Yvonne prided herself on creating six meals out of one chicken and baking cakes to share with friends and family. Yvonne also enjoyed crafts, painting and challenging her luck at any casino or local poker game. Yvonne had an adventurous spirit with a love of travel and a strong faith. The family will have a service to celebrate her life in June at Holy Angel Catholic Church in Altona, N.Y.

Dear Friends,

Please accept our sincere condolences as you mourn and celebrate your mother's life. Steve, we were in the same class at SCS for many years, and our fathers worked together up at Clinton Correctional Facility as well. May God bless and comfort you all, and give you His Peace.
