Wendy Lou Fountain, 55, of Keaau, Hawaii, died on Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, at home. She was born on Aug. 20, 1962, in Massena, N.Y.
She was an art teacher for Keaau High School and Seton Catholic High School, Plattsburgh, N.Y.
She was also a U.S. Army veteran.
She was a member of the Church of The Holy Apostles, Hilo, Hawaii, and Christ & St. John's Episcopal Church, Champlain, N.Y.
She had a Master's in Reading from Alfred University, New York and a Master's of Fine Arts in Writing from the Vermont College of Fine Arts.
A Memorial Service with Eucharist will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 16th, at the Church of The Holy Apostles, 1407 Kapiolani St., Hilo. Casual attire.
Wendy is survived by her husband, Rob Fountain Jr., children, Ian Fountain, Erin Busch, and Elizabeth (Peter) Warneck; mother, Catherine Simms; brothers, Jerry Simms, Warren Simms, Joseph (Helen) Simms, Craig O'Gallagher; sisters, Kathy (Bill) Henry, Karen Schimdt;
grandchildren, Peter Warneck and Parker Warneck; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
