Warren M. Patterson


Warren M. Patterson, 81, of Franklin St., Chateaugay, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loving family and aided by Hospice of the North Country.
Born in Burke, N.Y., on Sept. 16, 1937, he was the son of George and Simone (Gebo) Patterson.
His first marriage was to Joan Dora on June 30, 1956, at the Burke United Methodist Church. She predeceased him on July 17, 1983. His second marriage was to Carmen Fournier on Aug. 25, 1984. She predeceased him on Oct. 9, 2017.
Warren worked as a maintenance supervisor at Graymont-Plattsburgh Quarry and Concrete for 37 years before retiring. He enjoyed watching tractor pulling contests, visiting the Casino and working on small engine repairs in his garage.
He is survived by his six children, Jerry (Debbie) Patterson, Bonnie (Dave) Paradise, BG (Sandy) Patterson, Bruce (Jessica) Patterson, Terry (Terri) Patterson, Danford (Angela) Patterson; six stepchildren, Michael (Pam) Heath, Rena (Ron) Wrisley, Brian (Penny) Heath, Kevin (Donna) Heath, Carl (Sue) Heath, Russell (Jenny) Heath; 29 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Dale Patterson, Johnny Patterson, Pearl LaRock, Linda (Jerry) Collette, Rose (Dick) King, Jen Tavernia, Dorothy Lowell; many nieces and nephews.
Besides his wives, he was predeceased by his parents.
Calling hours will be held at the Chateaugay Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 9, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A funeral service will be held immediately following in the funeral home chapel.
A reception will follow at the Burke Fire Station.
Burial will take place in North Burke Cemetery, Burke in the spring.
Donations in his memory may be given to the Hospice of the North Country Alice Ballard Fund.
