Virginia P. Sheffield


Virginia P. Sheffield, age 96, best known as "Ginny," entered the Kingdom of Our Lord on Aug. 8, 2019.
She was the daughter of Ransom and Gladys Smith, born on July 20, 1923.
Ginny was the wife of the late Chester Sheffield. Together they raised their two daughters, Susan (Dennis) Ward and Vickie (Gary) Trombley. The light of her life was her granddaughter, Tricia (Rick) LaFountain. All reside in AuSable Forks.
She was predeceased by both her sister, Doris Smith Changelo, and her brother Roy Smith.
She will be forever missed by family and friends.
At her request, there will be no calling hours.
Those wishing to honor her memory may do so by making a donation to the North Country SPCA, PO Box 55 Elizabethtown, NY 12932. In memo section of check, please label, G. Sheffield (13 cats). Donations may also be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
