Tormey Favro, 86, of Grove Street, Keeseville, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at Meadowbrook Healthcare in Plattsburgh, with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Cadyville, Feb. 9, 1931, the son of Perley and Sadie (Tormey) Favaro. Tormey was supervisor for NYS DOT, retiring in 1986, and worked during harvest at Forrence Orchards.
He was a member of the Keeseville VFW, Chesterfield Rod & Gun, and the Keeseville Elks. Tormey enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Left to cherish the memory of Tormey are, three children, Pamela Rock (Randy), Joann Martino ( Kevin), and David Favro; four grandchildren, Nicole, Craig, Anthony "AJ", and Adam; several great-grandchildren; and one sister, Beverly McCaffrey (Tom).
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Sophie; an infant daughter, Susan; infant grandson, Robert Rock; and several siblings.
A public celebration of his life will be held Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, beginning at 2 p.m., at the Keeseville VFW Post 1505.
