Stacey's Story

Stacey L. (Miner) Rock, 34, formerly of the Flat Rock Road, Morrisonville, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2017 in Onondaga County as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born in Plattsburgh, May 12, 1983, the daughter of the former Susan M. Butler and Ricky Miner. Stacey grew up in Keeseville and graduated from AuSable Valley High School in 2001.
She worked at several local nursing homes throughout her career in healthcare. She also did private in-home healthcare for several local families. She was a genuine caring person with compassion and a love of helping others.
Stacey loved animals of all kinds, especially her faithful canine companion, Misty.
Left to cherish the memory of Stacey are, her children, Taylor Miner of Morrisonville, and Gideon and Logan Rock of Keeseville; her mother and step-father, Susan and Jack Verterano of Morrisonville; her father, Ricky Miner of Plattsburgh; brother, Eric Miner and his companion, Vanessa Swing of Alexandria, Va.; sister and brother-in-law, Heather Miner-Goetz and Jay Goetz of Glenville; niece, Adalyn Goetz; maternal grandmother, Charlotte Butler of Saranac; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Clarence and Margaret Miner; maternal grandfather, Francis "Bud" Butler; and uncles, Roger and Ronald Miner.
Calling hours will be held Friday, Nov. 10, 2017 from 5 to 7 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. Prayers will be offered by Rev. John "Mickey" Demo, following the calling hours, at 7 PM. Burial will be private in the Church of the Assumption Cemetery in Redford.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for Stacey's children.
