Scott A. Williams, 53, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at home, under the loving care of his family and Hospice of the North Country.
Born in Massena on Sept. 3, 1964, the son of Bruce and Betty (Ploof) Williams.
Scott was known for his outgoing personality and willingness to help others. A loving father and husband, he enjoyed spending time with his family; building tree forts, telling stories around the campfire, or giving snowmobile rides around the yard.
A graduate of SUNY Canton he went on to be a field planner at NYSEG for over 30 years. Never one to sit still, in his free time he enjoyed gardening, woodworking, playing hockey, maple sugaring, and hunting. He felt at home in the woods.
Scott leaves behind his wife of 27 years, Nancy (Routh) Williams; and children, Lindsey, Logan, Griffin, and Hunter; as well as his parents; and five siblings, Rick, Mark, Craig, Shelly, and Chris.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018, at 11am at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora with a reception following.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CurePSP.org or Hospice of the North Country.
Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru, 643-9055.
