Scott A. Stoughton, 54, of Chaney Avenue, Tupper Lake, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Aug. 16, 2019, at the UVM Health Network, CVPH, Plattsburgh, with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Plattsburgh on Sept. 8, 1964, the son of Robert D. Sr., and Mildred (Macey) Stoughton.
Scott was a retired corrections officer and a loving father of his son. He enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley, hunting, camping, riding his Nova car, and spending time with his son.
Left to cherish the memory of Scott is his only son Dylan, his daughter Alyssa Bechore; three brothers, Craig Stoughton and his companion of many years Brenda Strack, Robert and Cathy Stoughton and Chris and Stacey Stoughton; his loving mother, Mildred Stoughton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Robert D. Stoughton Sr., Scott was predeceased by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Macey; as well as many aunts and uncles.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A funeral service will follow in the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Edwards officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Scott A. Stoughton may be made to his family in care of his son, Dylan Stoughton.
