Sandie Lee Tompkins Nolan, 52, of Watervliet, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 11, 2019, at Albany Medical Center Hospital, Albany, N.Y.
Sandie was born to Richard Tompkins Sr. and Lynne (Putnam) Tompkins on May 11, 1966, in Keene, N/H.
Sandie graduated from Moriah Central School in Port Henry, N.Y., and Hudson Valley Community College. She was a preschool daycare assistant and a NYS licensed Nail Technician in Albany, N.Y. She treasured spending time with her grandchildren, remaining active in her church at Grace Fellowship, the simple tranquility of nature, country and Christian music.
She is survived by her parents of Lewis, N.Y.; three sons, Sean (Hannah) Nolan of Albany, N.Y., Shaine Nolan of Troy, N.Y., Ryan Tompkins of Boston, Mass.; her daughterly friend and mother of two of her grandchildren, Jessica Hartley of Clifton Park, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; Jasmine, Jayce (Hartley-Nolan), Knox, Hazel, Ransom, Jameson and Samson (Nolan); her sister Robin Tompkins and her husband Clay Dingman of Scotia, N.Y.; her brother Richard Tompkins Jr. of Moriah, N.Y.; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Lake Champlain Bible Fellowship in Port Henry, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sandie's memory to a charity of choice.
