Mr. Roldon N. Brown, 80, of Military Turnpike, passed away peacefully Friday, April 28, 2017 at the UVM Health Network- CVPH with family by his side.
He was born in Plattsburgh on June 3, 1936, the son of the late Roland N. and Theresa (LaMora) Brown.
Roldon served in the U.S. Air Force and worked for 8 years at Georgia Pacific and 32 years at Imperial Wallcovering. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, bowling, camping, NASCAR, and spending winters in Florida.
He was predeceased by his grandparents; parents; and sister, Shirley Burl of Plattsburgh.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joyce (Gero) Brown; his daughter, Deborah (Brown) Bouvia and her spouse Steven; granddaughter, Melissa Bouvia-Blume and spouse Ryan; grandson, Matthew Bouvia and wife Cassandra; and his precious great-grandchildren, Isabella Marie Bouvia and Hayden William Blume, all of Knoxville, Tenn.; a sister, Dianna Seymour and husband Gerald of Plattsburgh; brother-in-law, Norman Burl of Plattsburgh, brother-in-law, Clayton Jarvis of Ellenburg; sister-in-law, Gladys Burnell and husband Herbert of Champlain, and sister-in-law, Barb Gero; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 pm on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Entombment with military honors will follow at Whispering Maples Mausoleum in Plattsburgh.
Memorial donations may be offered to the FitzPatrick Cancer Center.
