Roland A. Blaise Sr., 79, of AuSable Street, Keeseville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Jan. 19, 2018 at his home.
He was born in Keeseville, August 2, 1938, the son of Frank and Bertha (Abare) Blaise. Roland grew up in Keeseville and graduated from Keeseville High School.
Being self employed most of his life, he owned and operated many businesses throughout the years. Roland was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Keeseville and the Plattsburgh Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his fiance, Carol Florio; daughter, Lynn and her husband Dave; sons, Steve and his wife Beth, Tim and his wife Lorriel, Roland Jr. and his wife Dorothy, and Geoff and his wife Amanda; grandchildren, Brandon, Jeremy, Jacob, Olivia, Matthew, Emma, Daniel, Benjamin and Andrew; sisters, Shirley and her husband Ronald, Marion and her husband Paul; brother, Gary and his wife Carol; as well as his many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents; Roland was predeceased by his sisters, Velma and Lorraine; and his brother, Wilfred.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018 at 11 AM at St. John the Baptist Church, 1804 Main Street, Keeseville with the Rev. Kris C. Lauzon, celebrating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
