Peter David Johnpeer

Events

A loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, Peter David Johnpeer, passed suddenly at CVPH with his two daughters by his side, Jan. 8, 2019.
He was a member of the Keeseville United Methodist Church till he moved to Willsboro where he became a devout member of the Willsboro United Methodist Church. He was a driver for First Transit and CART, where he found the job he absolutely loved, taking special needs children to CVES and students to games and tournaments. He volunteered at the 1812 Homestead, running the candle shop and visitor center in Willsboro.
He was a Marine who was a Vietnam Era Veteran and his saying, once a Marine, always a Marine.
He is survived by two daughters, Lee Scurry and son-in-law, James Scurry, daughter, Trinity Johnpeer; grandchildren, Peter David the second, Jenna Provost, George "Joey" Coolidge the 4th and Annabella Lee Johnpeer; brothers, Doug Johnpeer, and Gary Johnpeer; sisters, Judy Kilbourn, Ruth Sherman, Sue Compangna, and Paula "Chick" Webb; former wife, Laurie Johnpeer and Kevin Corson, who were close until the end. Also many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother, Merilda Baker Johnpeer; father, Paul Johnpeer; and brothers, Grant Johnpeer and Donald Johnpeer.
A celebration of life will be at the Willsboro United Methodist Church Saturday, January 12th at 3 p.m, with a ham dinner to follow at 4 p.m.
