Peggy  Murphy
Peggy Murphy, 94, of Plattsburgh, N.Y., passed away Sept. 17, 2019, with her loving family by her side at UVHN-CVPH Medical Center. She was born on Jan. 4, 1925, in Plattsburgh, N.Y., to Charles and Mae (Thompson) Ward.
Peggy graduated from Plattsburgh High School and was the eldest graduate of her class at Clinton Community College where she was Class Marshall. She worked in the Guidance Department at Plattsburgh High School until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling. In her free time, she often sewed, completed needle work, and loved reading and crossword puzzles.
She is predeceased by her parents and her husband, Bernard F. Murphy Jr., and her sister, Doris Pidgeon.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Kevin and Jeannine Murphy, Shane and Diane Murphy, Colleen and Kenneth Hynes, and Shannon and Denis Mousseau, all of Plattsburgh, 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; her siblings, Phyllis (Clarence) Molisani, Charlene Tricarico, Dennis (Edie) Ward, and Ginny (Dennis) Mooney, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, Sept. 20, 2019, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, at Our Lady of Victory Church. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the American Heart or the American Lung Association.

To all of Peg’s family,
Deepest sympathy to you at this sad time. Peg was a good neighbor on Johnson Avenue. I remember when she graduated and came to work for the City School District. I’m so sorry for your loss. God bless her and God bless you all in your sorrow.
