Nancy J. Shortell, 77, of the Peasleeville Rd., Schuyler Falls, passed away on Monday, Nov. 6, 2017, at the UVM Health Network, CVPH, Plattsburgh.
She was born in Plattsburgh on June 20, 1940, the daughter of Charles and Gladys (LaPier) Andrews.
On their family farm in Keeseville, Nancy was a housewife and farmer who loved animals and blueberry picking.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Tom Shortell; daughter, Katherine and Terry Santor; son, Richard Shortell; brother, Chas Andrews; granddaughter, Brittany and Michael LaFave; grandson, Kevin Shortell; and her great-granddaughter, Bailey LaFave.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her brother, Kenny Andrews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017, from 11 a.m. to Noon at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A funeral service will be held in the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel at Noon with the Rev. William G. Reamer and Rev. Sally Chase White officiating. Burial will follow in St. Augustine's Cemetery, Peru.
