Myrtle C. Ladue, 79, of the Seymour Road, Chateaugay, died Sunday, July 16, 2017, at her home.
She was born in Brattleboro, Vt., on April 11, 1938, the daughter of the late Henry and Valena (Stone) LaValley. She attended various schools.
She was united in marriage to Alfred Ladue on Aug. 3, 1965, in St. Patrick's Church, Chateaugay, by Msgr. Skelly. He predeceased her on Dec. 2, 2011. They were married for 46 years.
She worked for McCadam Cheese Co. in Chateaugay. She also owned and operated the family farm with her husband for 21 years.
She loved to spend time with her family and taking care of her yard.
She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church.
Mrs. Ladue will forever be missed by her loving children, Darlene and her husband, Kevin Richards of Chateaugay; Alfred (Alfie) and Shauna Ladue of Plattsburgh; three grandchildren, Nicholas and Haley LaDue and Morgan Hall, all of Plattsburgh; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her mother in 1972; her father in 1986; three sisters, Cora LaValley in 1968, Mildred Forrette in 1996 and Valena (Lillian) LaFave in 2003; and one brother, Home LaValley in 2017.
Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, at the Chateaugay Funeral Home. A prayer service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel at 12:30 p.m. The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers and request private time following the funeral.
Burial will take place at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Chateaugay.
