Morris E. Reynolds Sr., 78, of Willsboro, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born Jan. 14, 1939, in Elizabethtown, the son of Edson and Amy (Cross) Reynolds. In his early years, Morris was a great baseball player. He had a tryout with the New York Mets. Another love and pastime of his was golf, he had four holes in one in his lifetime. Morris was a devout Christian and a member of St. Philip of Jesus Church. He was a truck driver at Anchor Motor Freight as well as various other places. He was a loving husband and father.
Morris was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Alan Bean Jr., who passed away May 25, 2004, in Iraq. He is also predeceased by several siblings.
Survivors include, his wife, Shirley Reynolds of Willsboro; three sons, Gary Reynolds and his wife Cheri of Westport, Mark Reynolds and his companion, Amy of Altona, Morris Reynolds Jr. and his wife Kathryn of Altona; five daughters, Kim and Alan Bean of Bridport, Vt., Laurie Reynolds of Ellenburg Depot, Robin and John Crandall of Westport, Debra and Michael Lynch of Westport, Jody and Peter Mercaldi of Champlain; two brothers, Robert Reynolds Sr. and his wife Shirley of Essex, Harold Reynolds and his wife Faye of Reber; two sisters, Ethel French of Willsboro, Nina Gay of Willsboro; 16 grandchildren, Tricia Tetreault, Ernest Bean, Jordon Crandall, Travis Crandall, Autumn Crandall, Parker Crandall, Garrett Reynolds, Renee Reynolds, Paige Mercaldi, Angelo Mercaldi, Nicholas Reynolds, Noah Lynch, Bailee Lynch, Sierra Reynolds, Alexandria Reynolds and Skyler Reynolds. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Philip of Jesus Church in Willsboro.
Arrangements are in the care of the Ross Funeral Home, 25 Maple Street, Willsboro.
