Marlene Marie Jessey, 60, of Sailly Avenue, Plattsburgh and formerly of Morrisonville, died Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at the UVM Health Network, CVPH in Plattsburgh.
She was born in Keene Valley, Dec. 26, 1956, the daughter of Richard, Jr. and Iona (Smith) Bouyea. She graduated from AuSable Valley High School and later from CV-TEC with a certification in culinary arts.
Marlene worked for the Clinton County Nursing Home and Saranac High School, but her true passion was caring for her two daughters. She was a member of St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville.
Marlene enjoyed spending time with all her loved ones. She cherished her late husband, Thomas Jessey. They enjoyed motorcycle rides, car rides, bringing their daughters to theme parks, swimming, and camping. She also enjoyed having her house full, so having all of her daughter's friends over was very delightful for her.
Left to cherish the memory of Marlene are, her two daughters, Melinda S. Jessey, and Mary Ellen Burtis and her husband, Steven Henry Burtis; and granddaughter and her pride and joy, Ashlynn Marie Burtis.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Jessey; and beloved mother-in-law, Cecile Jessey.
Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 3 p.m. on Friday, June 2, at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru.
Donations in her memory may be made to her family to be appropriated at their discretion.
Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru, 643-9055. To offer an online condolence, share a symbolic gesture, or share a photo in memory of Marlene Jessey please visit www.hamiltonfuneralhome.com
