Marilyn Kathleen Meagher, 92, of the Vilas Home, Plattsburgh died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2017, at CVPH Medical Center, Plattsburgh, N.Y.
Born at Alice Hyde Hospital in Malone, N.Y., on July 5, 1925, she was the daughter of James and Winifred (Jones) Meagher.
In her early years, Marilyn lived in Chateaugay, moving to Malone in 1939 where she graduated from Franklin Academy with the Class of 1942. She graduated from the Marchant Business School in Hartford, Conn., in 1945. On June 26, 1946, she became employed with the Hartford Golf Club in West Hartford, Conn., retiring as office manager on Dec. 15, 1987, after 41 years of service. She returned to Plattsburgh on Jan. 4, 1988. She lived with her cousin Jeanne F. Rozon in Chateaugay until 2004 when she moved to Plattsburgh.
She is survived by a sister, Joan Corrigan and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents and three brothers, James M. Jr., John Robert and Patrick David Meagher.
There are no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Dec. 29, at 1 p.m. in St. Patrick's Church, Chateaugay.
Spring burial will take place at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Chateaugay.
