Mrs. Marie R. Maggy, 78, of Rand Hill Road Morrisonville, N.Y. passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017 in Watertown, N.Y. She was born in Swanton, Vt. on May 1, 1939, the daughter of Leon and Marie (Irwin) Trombley.
Marie married Arthur H. Maggy January 1970. Together they enjoyed traveling with the American Legion. She retired from Schonbeck after twenty four years of service. Marie enjoyed bowling, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She was a Life Member of the American Legion Post 1619 Ladies Auxiliary and St. Alexander's Church, Morrisonville.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Arthur "Art" Maggy in June 2012; her siblings, Shirley, Elizabeth, Marion, Pauline, Leo and Richard.
Marie is survived by three daughters, Pauline Hebert of Lillington, N.C., Tina Maggy of Plattsburgh, Tonya Maggy of Baton Rouge, La.; three sons, Michael Maggy of Ohio, Merton Maggy and his wife Lisa of Lacona, N.Y., Arthur "Buddy" Maggy II of Peru; one sister, Janet St. John of Houltan, Maine; three brothers, Ronnie Trombley and his wife Janet of Plattsburgh, Jerry Trombley of Virginia and Gordon Trombley of Albany, N.Y.; several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her favorite canine companion Missy.
At Marie's request there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Alexander's Church, Morrisonville. Interment will follow at Assumption of Mary Cemetery in Redford.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice in care of Brown Funeral Home.
