Margetina Destounis-Congo, 57, of Route 22 South, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017.
She was born in Montreal, Quebec, on Feb. 3, 1960, the daughter of Steve and Margaret (Nugent) Destounis.
Tina was a generous and giving person with a big heart. She was there to help anyone in need and always had a big smile on her face.
Survivors include her husband, Lamont Congo; siblings, Peter (Marion) Destounis, Louise McGuckin, Noreen McGuckin (Tom Garrett) and Martha (Donald) Wilson; nieces and nephews, Melanie, Megan (Mike), Burke, and Logan (Jenn) Destounis, Elizabeth and John Pottier and David Wilson; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Ethan, Elise, Asha, Ricky and Claire. Tina also leaves behind her loving pets.
She was predeceased by her parents and one brother, Bill Themens.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday in St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
