T. Lucile Willette, 91, of Maple Street, Mooers, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, at the UVM Health Network, Fletcher Allen Medical Center, Burlington, Vt., surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Grosse Pointe Park, Mich., on Sept. 13, 1926, the daughter of Edward and Lucy (Griffin) Perry.
Lucile cherished her time with her family and friends. She had a very positive outlook on life and brought a smile to everyone with whom she came in contact. Her faith was very important to her, and she was an active member of St. Joseph's parish in Mooers. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and the Mooers Good Fellowship Senior Club.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Luanne Willette of Mooers, N.Y., son, Wayne (Kathy) Willette of Canton, N.Y., and daughter, Jana (Michael) Gadway of Lansdale, Pa.; grandchildren, Jill (Mark) Prudenti of Warrington, Pa., Erin (Jason) Platts of Tunkhannock, Pa., and Jordan Willette of Canton, N.Y.; great-grandchildren, Sara and Ethan Prudenti, and Ryan and Aiden Platts.
In addition to her parents, Lucile was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Victor A. Willette (May 4, 1994); sisters, Rita (Paul) Host, Genevieve (Thomas) Owens, and brother, Edward Perry.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 793 Gilbert Road, Mooers. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, Mooers Forks, with the Rev. Adrian Gallagher, celebrating. Entombment will follow in the Whispering Maples Mausoleum, Ellenburg.
