Lloyd "Joe" Joseph Boyea Jr., 47 of Benson, died Monday, July 3, 2017, at the University of Vermont Medical Center following an accident in Bridport while riding his motorcycle.
He was born on May 2, 1970, in Ticonderoga, N.Y., the son of Lloyd and Victoria (Briggs) Boyea.
Mr. Boyea grew up in Moriah, N.Y., relocating to Benson, Vt., in 2007.
He was employed for many years as a driller and blaster by Florence Crushed Stone.
Mr. Boyea married Carey Tenzer on March 19, 2011.
He loved to ride his motorcycle, being outdoors, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Carey Boyea and her sons, Michael and David; his children, Mark and his wife Shelby, Todd, Seth and Megan and her fiance Garfield; his grandchildren, Bryson, Aaliyah and Grace; his mother, Victoria; two sisters, Lacey Boyea Lacourse and Kathy Groshan Boyea; a brother, Pete; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father in 2014.
There will be no public calling hours.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 9, at the Mountain View Cemetery in Orwell.
Arrangements are by the Durfee Funeral Home, 119 North Main St., Fair Haven, Vt.
