Linda's Story

Linda L. Way, 75 of Pueblo West, Colo. and Milton,Vt. passed away on Jan. 28, 2018 surrounded by her family.
She was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y. on August 9, 1942, the daughter of Eldred and Mae Keet. Linda grew up in Peru, N.Y. and graduated from Peru Central School in 1960.
She was married on May 18, 1963 to her beloved husband, Ronald Way.
She worked for the Keesville Bank and then the Chittenden Bank in Burlington, Vt. She enjoyed her co-workers friendships very much.
She enjoyed traveling around the country with Ronnie in their blue van, spending time with her grandchildren and spending winters in Florida with wonderful friends. She loved making gifts for her grandchildren and always had a smile and kind word for everyone. She will be missed by many loved ones and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Ronda Racine and her husband, Carl Racine; four grandchildren, Eric, Tyler, Amanda, and Abigail Racine; sister, Pam Keet Jones and her husband, Marcus Jones, their children, Kristie Benyo and husband, Mark Benyo and Heather Jones-Prince and husband, Tony Prince; and many in-laws.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Way; her parents, Eldred and Mae Keet; her father and mother-in-law, Floyd and Martha Way; brother-in-law, Gary Way; sister-in-law, Carol Way; and nephew, Reginald Way.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018 at 11 AM at St. Augustine's Church in Peru with Rev. Alan D. Shnob, parish priest, celebrating. Burial will follow in the Schuyler Falls Cemetery.
Donations in her memory may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Building Fund, 1132 W. Oro Grand Dr. P.O. Box 7199 Pueblo West, CO 81007. This cause was very dear to her heart. Also to the Alzheimer's Association Colorado Chapter 455 Sherman Street Suite 500 Denver, Colorado 80203-4405.
Linda's family would like to give a special thank you to Frontier Home Hospice in Pueblo, Colo. and to all the staff at Tammy & Marty's Cozy Adult Care Home in Pueblo West, Colo.
