Linda L. Dashnaw, 71, of Cold Brook Road, passed away Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, at the Plattsburgh Rehabilitation and Nursing Center with family by her side.
She was born at Lake Clear on Sept. 20, 1946, the daughter of the late Clifford and Dorothy (Donaldson) Wood.
Linda enjoyed spending time at camp with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son Rodney and wife Michelle of Loon Lake, her son Robbie and wife Kim of Dannemora, her daughter Rana and husband Paul Cowen of Selma, N.C., her daughter Rebecca Dashnaw of Riverview; her siblings and their spouses, Hubert Wood, Jean and Roger Smart, Robert and Renalda Wood, all of Riverview; her grandchildren, Amanda and Nathan Dickinson, Vanessa and Matthew LaVarnway, Miranda Dashnaw and companion Zack Becker, Kayla Dashnaw, Kenneth Dashnaw; her great-grandchildren, Aiden and Jace Dickinson, Colt and K-Lee Becker; and several nieces and nephews.
Her husband, James Dashnaw, passed away March 13, 2008. Her siblings, Dolly Wood, Mary Bainbridge, Irene McKay, Warren Wood, and Allen Wood also passed away earlier.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. in the Brown Funeral Home chapel.
