Leonard Thomas Charette, 64, died unexpectedly at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center, Las Vegas, Clark County, Nev., Feb. 17, 2017. He was born March 3, 1952, the son of the late Morris and Della (Boadway) Charette of Churubusco, N.Y.
He graduated in 1971 in the first graduating class from Northern Adirondack Central School in Ellenburg Corners, N.Y., and then enlisted in the U.S. Army where he retired after 22 years as a sergeant with a specialty in electronics. He then worked at an Electric Supply House and setting pins for bowling alleys. He also enjoyed playing guitar and singing as a hobby.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers, Arthur and James and his sister, Roseanne (Charette) Clark.
Leonard is survived by his wife, Christine (Marlow) Charette, daughter Stacey Charette, daughter Diana Charette, daughter Hollie Mayer-Charette and her children, Charles Jason (CJ) Mikelson, Cameron Stephen Mikelson, and Tristen Shawn Mayer, son Travis and partner Torrie Licht and children, Izabella Antoinette, Lillian Jean, and Rorrie Marcella Lynn Charette, daughter Kristy Lynn (Charette) her husband, Neil Kendrick and children, Daniel Nathan, Blake Christopher, and Hailey Elizabeth Kendrick and son Kyle Charette, all of Washington State, brothers Ronald and his wife Suzanne Charette of Peru, N.Y., Marshall and his wife Cathy Charette of Keeseville, N.Y., Anthony, his wife Heidi Charette of Crossett, Ar., sisters Maureen and her husband Anthony McPherson of Springfield, Mass., Angela and her husband Joseph McPherson of Moira, N.Y., Joanne and her husband Kevin Goodman of Schenectady, N.Y., sister-in-law Anne Charette of Churubusco, N.Y., brother-in-law Louis Clark of Waterford, N.Y., and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
