Lee's Story

Lee P. Sabin, 74, of Goddeau Road, Cadyville, N.Y., passed away on Friday April 21, 2017, at UVHN:CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He wasborn in Tupper Lake, N.Y., on February 9, 1943, the son of Harry and Martha (Hutchins) Sabin.
Lee joined the United States Army serving in Vietnam in 1963 and was honorably discharged 1966. Soon after he returned to Tupper Lake where he owned and operated Lee's Faust Esso service station for many years.
He married Susan Leroux on Sept. 26, 1970, at Holy Name Church in Tupper Lake. Lee and Susan moved to Cadyville, N.Y., when Lee began working at NORCO Concretein Plattsburgh. He then went on to work as a mechanic at CIL Trucking and laterfor the Clinton County Highway Department until his retirement. Lee was memberof the Cadyville Fire Dept. and American Legion Post 1619.
He was predeceased by his parents and his wife of 47 years, Susan Sabin in January 2017.
Lee is survived by his siblings; June Shone and her husband Dick of Bloomfield, N.Y., Linda Parker of Cadyville, James Sabin and his wife Colleen Tupper Lake and Patty Geary and her husband David of Syracuse, N.Y., several nieces and nephews also survive him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Tuesday April 25, 2017 at St. James Church in Cadyville. A graveside service will be celebrated on Wednesday April 26, 2017 at 11 am at Lakeview Cemetery in Tupper Lake with full military honors.
Donations in Lee's memory may be made to the Cadyville Fire Department.
