Kenneth J. Lord, 94, formerly of Mason Rd., Champlain, passed away March 3, 2018 at Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility in Plattsburgh.
He was born June 25, 1923 in Champlain, the son of Wilbur and Florence (Palmer) Lord.
Ken was an US Army veteran serving from 1945 to 1947. He was the owner and operator two Marinas on Lakeshore Road in Champlain for many years. Ken took part in the first Virtual North Country Honor Flight at Beekmantown Central School this past October and was looking forward to flying to Washington D.C. this summer.
He was predeceased by his wife, Gloria; two brothers, Gordon and George.
Ken is survived by a sister-in-law, Irene Lord of Champlain; and several nieces and friends.
A graveside service will be held at Glenwood Cemetery in spring.
Donations may be made the North Country Honor Flight in memory of Ken.
