Kathryn Giancola, 100, of Willsboro, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018 at the U.V.M Health Network-CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.
She was born May 24, 1917 in Willsboro, the daughter of Harry and Nellie (Mossey) Curren.
After graduating from high school she moved to Yonkers, N.Y. until retirement. She married Richard Giancola, July 19, 1941. She moved back to Willsboro in 1982. Kathryn loved to cook and clean.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard, who passed away in 2003; one infant brother; two sisters, Aileen Sayward and her husband Wayne and Sylvia Zinchak and her husband John.
Survivors include one son, Allan Giancola of Willsboro; four nieces, Jane Gay of Willsboro, Carolyn Walker of Willsboro, Barbara Giancola of New Jersey, Lynne Radley and her husband Mark of Binghamton, N.Y.; three nephews, Karl Zinchak and his wife Jennifer of Missouri, Nick Sayward of Queens, N.Y. and David Giancola. She is also survived by several great nieces and great nephews.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, Feb. 1 at 11 a.m. at the Ross Funeral Home in Willsboro.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
