June F. Blaine, 82, of the Lyons Road, Peru, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at The University Of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vt., with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Plattsburgh, June 19, 1935, the daughter of Henry F. and Mary (Lesperance) Jarvis. June grew up in Peru and graduated from Peru High School. She married Louis Blaine, Oct. 18, 1958, at St. Augustine's Church. He predeceased her Sept. 28, 1991.
She was a lifelong communicant of St. Augustine's Church in Peru. She enjoyed baking, gardening, and crossword puzzles. She especially loved chocolate.
June was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be fondly remembered for her caring and giving nature.
Left to cherish the memory of June are, her children, Edward E. Blaine of Mechanicville, Diane M. Akey and husband, Richard of Dannemora, Albert J. Blaine and fiancee, Jane Scott of Lyon Mountain, Paul L. Blaine and wife, Mary of Silver Lake, Leon F. Blaine and companion, Cheryl Emerson of Dover Plains, Michael H. Blaine of Peru, Hope A. Blaine of Plattsburgh, and Louis E. Blaine Jr. of Peru; grandson, Adam M. Blaine; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Carol (Pageau) Blaine in 2014; sisters, Genevieve in 1929, and Marilyn in 1985; and brother, Henry in 2017.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 1 p.m. at St. Augustine's Church in Peru with Rev. Alan D. Shnob, parish priest, celebrating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Donations in her memory may be made to Masses or the FitzPatrick Cancer Center.
