Josephine's Story

Josephine M. Langevin, 76, of Bison Street, entered into the arms of the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017, at the CVPH Medical Center.
She was born in Ellenburg, N.Y., on July 17, 1941, the daughter of William and Lillian (Minor) Miner.
Josephine graduated from Northern Adirondack Central School. She married James Langevin on Oct. 13, 1962.
Josephine was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who always put the needs of others before her own. She enjoyed gardening, feeding and watching backyard birds, and had a love for all animals. She was a loving and loyal wife and caregiver.
Josephine was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society and longtime loyal parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Chazy, N.Y., where she was also a Religious Education Teacher. Josephine was a member of the Friends of the Library at the Chazy Public Library, the Chazy Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and a former Girl Scout Leader.
Survivors include her son, Allen Langevin and his wife, Jeannie; daughter, Amy Aborn and her husband, John; brothers, Gerrard Miner and Lloyd Miner and his companion, Beverly; a brother-in-law, Leo Langevin and his wife Norma; grandchildren, Bethany and Jonathan Aborn, Allyson and Ashley Langevin and Jordan Fuller and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, William and Lillian Miner, husband, James Langevin, infant twin daughters, Lisa Marie and Laurie Ann Langevin and brothers, Robert, Anthony and Marshall Miner.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, August 20, at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home, 69 Court Street, Plattsburgh.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Monday, August 21, at Sacred Heart Church in Chazy. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
