Joseph Marcel Robidoux, 72, of Mesick Road in Mooers Forks, passed away Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at the UVM Health Network-CVPH, surrounded by loved ones. He was born in St. Chrysostome, Quebec, on Sept. 23, 1945, the son of the late Armand and Gaetane (Rushford) Rabideau
Joseph was a truck driver and construction worker for many years and enjoyed working outdoors and especially repairing cars.
He is survived by his former wife and best friend, Joyce Rabideau, his three sons and their spouses, Marcel and Nikki Rabideau Jr., James Robidoux and fiancee Amanda, Ray and Natasha Rabideau; his brother, Giles and Mary Lou Rabideau; his grandchildren, Heather and Curtis and family, Kyle and Kayla and family, Holden and Kaela and family, Carlee, Logan, Andrea, Brayden, Alexa, Alana, and Alicia, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Raymond Rabideau, Robert Rabideau, and Marie Lafountain.
The family extends a special thank you to Christina Abare and Steven Matott for their love and care.
In accordance with Joseph's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 3, at St. Ann's Church in Mooers Forks. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. A Celebration of his Life will follow at VFW Post 1418 in Champlain. Memorial donations may be offered to Relay for Life.
