Joe and I served in Vietnam and kept in touch via social media. Joe was always quick to lend kind words of support no matter the topic on our army website. What a fine, Christian man.

Giselle, I want to offer mine and my family’s most sincere condolences on the loss of your husband. I recall nothing but the fondest memories of kindness from Joe. As did an army of other young men and women who called your 2nd St. house their second home because of hospitality and unconditional love to all the friends of Ryan and Katie.

Katie, I am so sorry. My family’s prayers are with you and your family tonight.

And Ryan, typing your name made my face well up with tears, but I am so sorry. Your Dad was a giant. A father figure to me when mine wasn’t around and I remember him and you with such fondness and love. I’m just so sorry, Ryan. I could always tell that his heart wa

Dear Gisele,
Please accept Karl and myself in our sincere sympathy for your loss of Joey.
Karl and I have many memories of Joey from the 50’s. Joey knew my brother Jim Hefti who passed away several years ago, until we moved in 1978. Please know you and your family are in our prayers.
