John "Jack" F. Fisher, 67, of Haymeadow Road, passed away June 14, 2019, at his home among the comfort of family and his feline companion, "Kiki."
He was born in Plattsburgh on Dec. 17, 1951, the son of Ralph F. and Carmen (Abbruzzese) Fisher. Jack graduated from Plattsburgh High School and went on to atted Lehigh University. He served as President of Plattsburgh Distributing Company, a company established by his father, for 43 years. He will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Survivors include his wife Germaine Lessard; daughters, Rise Molofsky and husband Jeff of Baltimore, Md., and Sue McClure and husband Jeff of Williamsburg, Va.; a son, Stephen Vankuren and wife Sherri of York, Pa.; sister, Constance Fisher and her companion Dave Smith of Plattsburgh; grandchildren, Justin, Seth, Emily, Lynch, Abby, Kelsey, Samantha and Travis; and two great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife, Andree L. Fisher.
A private burial service will be held in St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Tupper Lake.
A Celebration of Life Reception will be held on June 20, 2019, at 2:30 in the Adirondack Room at the Butcher Block.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations be made to the FitzPatrick Cancer Center or Hospice of the North Country.

My thoughts and prayers and prayers go out to the Fisher family. I knew Jack and his Dad when I lived in Plattsburgh. Lots of fond memories playing golf with his Dad at Bluff Point. A great family.

I met Jack in the 60's when I worked for his father. He was a gentleman then and remained so to the present. The world needs more Jack Fishers.
