John M. Crowley, 68, of Plattsburgh, N.Y., passed away peacefully August 11, 2017, at his home, with his wife by his side, after a battle with cancer. John was born in Plattsburgh, graduated from Altona High School and furthered his education at Saint Michael's College. He was an avid outdoorsman; he loved hunting and going for walks in the woods on his land. In retirement he enjoyed golfing and continued to do so up until his passing. He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Janet Crowley and a nephew, Timothy Crowley. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Karen (Ross) Crowley; daughters, Amy Romano and her husband Peter of Nolensville, Tenn., and Megan Crowley of Buffalo, N.Y.; a son, Shawn Crowley of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; grandchildren, Peter, Dominic, and Carmen Romano; a brother, Thomas Crowley and his wife Kathleen of Holbrook, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews.
