Mrs. Johan M. Corral, 75, of Plattsburgh, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at the University of Vermont Medical Center. She was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on Oct. 28, 1941, the daughter of William and Irene (McCorry) Miller.
Johan grew up in Dannemora; she graduated from Dannemora High School in 1959. She married Joseph Corral on July 7, 1982, at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora. Johan worked for the New York State Department of Corrections for 38 years, retiring in 1995. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church and the St. Joseph's Choir. Johan enjoyed gardening, traveling around New England and trips to the casino.
Johan was predeceased by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph, Sr. of Plattsburgh, two stepchildren, Joseph Corral, Jr. and his wife Becky of Chateauguay Lake, Carol Lyn Polhemus of Plattsburgh, two grandchildren, a brother, Arnie Miller and his wife Bonnie of Morrisonville and their daughters, Nicole and Holly.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27th, at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, N.Y.
A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora. Entombment will follow at 2 p.m. at Whispering Maples Mausoleum.
Donations in Johan's memory may be made to St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora.
