Joanne Jean (Seymour) Baker, 59, formerly of the Salmon River Road, Plattsburgh, died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at the home of her sister in Schuyler Falls.
She was born in Plattsburgh, Jan. 26, 1958, the daughter of Larney and Hazel (Donah) Seymour. Joanne grew up in Schuyler Falls and graduated from Peru Central School in 1976. She worked at CV-TEC in Plattsburgh for many years.
Joanne was an avid reader and loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing games with family and friends.
Left to cherish the memory of Joanne are, her twin daughters, Rachael Gonzales and her husband Nick of Albany, and Nicole Seymour and her fiance Peter Kritziotis of Chazy; four beloved grandchildren, Mikayla, Emmanuel, Natalie, and Aleka; siblings, Donna Carr, and Jack Seymour and his wife, Cheryl; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Bertha Fournier, Susan Duprey, and Barbara Kittel.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. Burial will be private in the Schuyler Falls Cemetery.
