Jeffrey R. "Jeff" Hall, 68, of the Guideboard Road, Schuyler Falls, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of the North Country.
He was born in Maysville, Ky., Sept. 14, 1949, the son of Lloyd and Dorothea (McGee) Hall.
Jeff grew up on Long Island and attended Half Hollow Hills Central School District on Long Island. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served on board the USS Boston during the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged June 25, 1970. Jeff worked at Georgia Pacific for 32 years prior to retiring in 2012. He was a member of the Peru VFW Post 309 and the West Plattsburgh American Legion Post 1619.
Left to cherish the memory of Jeff are his loving wife of 47 years, Dianne M. (Eardley) Hall, whom he married Aug. 22, 1970, in Canton, Mass.; three children, Stephen Hall and his wife Jackie, Susan Howarth and her husband Mount, and Jim Hall and his companion Leslie Rein; three beloved granddaughters, Taylor, Madison, and Morgan; brother, Donald Hall; sister, Deborah Stanley and her husband Dana; and several nieces and nephews.
Jeff was predeceased by his parents.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. The Navy Honor Guard will provide Military Honors at 7 p.m. in the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel.
