It’s still surreal that your gone. As the days pass its the memories that we’ve shared that keeps you alive within each of us. From when we were little through now it was always fun times and plenty of laughs!

I have learned a lot from you while spending time in the barn, out in the hay fields, fixing fence or our Chazy Lake Tech service visits that turned into late evening conversations (hours after I should have gone home).

When driving the tractor, always use the rabbit rabbit button... ;)

Lock the door if your not expecting visitors ;)

Proper Maintenance of tools... keep the sledge hammer until the head comes off over your shoulder while in use, then get a new one..

... take time to talk with your friends and neighbors... Even if your fixing fence.

If something breaks, never get rid of it because it can be fixed.

Uncle Jeff... You will be missed but never forgotten!!

A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that says, “Grieve not for me”.
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived while I was strong.
Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.
Remembering all, how I was truly blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your life, don’t worry about falls
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin.
Until the day comes we’re all together again.

Dear Kathleen, Scott & family. I was totally shocked when I read this, this morning. I no longer live in NY, so didn't know. I use to have a lot of good times with Jeff especially when he was Highway Superintendent, and I worked for the town. Rest in peace Jeff, I know this is a great loss to your family.

Jeff was a character. Quick with a joke, loved to tease people unmercifully. He brought new meaning to the words "If I didn't like ya, I wouldn't pick on ya". Fellow horseman, 4H member, some of my fondest memories are riding horseback with him and others from both sides of the lake. Any given Saturday people driving Route 374 in Chazy Lake were bound to see a group of no less than 6 or 7 of us riding....any less than that and something had to be wrong. He was a fellow classmate, and we graduated together. I have known him and his family it seems all my life and I love them all dearly. Rest in peace Jeff, you will be missed dearly, especially by those closest to you....your loved one...s and family.Read more

Jeff had the energy of a man half his age and the experience of one twice as old. He welcomed us back to the Hayden Camp at Chazy Lake after years away and was thoughtful and generous with his time and friendship. He will be missed.
