Jean B. Ormsby, 77, formerly of the Clintonville Road, Peru, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, at the Plattsburgh Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
She was born in Plattsburgh, Oct. 14, 1940, the daughter of Francis and Madeline (Charboneau) Macey. She grew up in Schuyler Falls and attended local schools. Jean was a loving homemaker and took great care of her family.
Jean enjoyed traveling with her bowling team, going for long rides with her husband Robert, going to bingo with her friends, garage saleing with her lifelong friend Millie, and most of all being a wife, mom, and grandmother. Getting her family together for a weekend BBQ and holidays is what really made her smile.
Left to cherish the memory of Jean are, her two sons, Jonathan Ormsby and his wife Jana of Peru, and Steven Ormsby and his wife Star of Schulyer Falls; grandchildren, Dennis Ormsby, Tiffany Garcia, Robert Ormsby and Nicole Ormsby; great-grandchildren, Tyler Ormsby, Madison Ormsby, Alyssa Mitchell and Nathan Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert F. Ormsby, Aug. 15, 2001; and siblings, Joyce Nolan, Norman Macey, Robert Macey, Karl Macey and Marlene Thompson.
At Jean's request there will be no public calling hours or services. Burial will be in the Schuyler Falls Cemetery.
