Jean Elizabeth Mousseau


Jean E. Mousseau, 82, of Au Sable Forks, passed away on Feb. 23, 2019. Born Nov. 1, 1936, in Upper Jay, she was the daughter of Neil and Alice (Roberts) Burgess. She married Bob on Aug. 3, 1957, at Holy Name Church by Rev. Paul Hagen.
Moved to Au Sable Forks in 1940. She graduated from Au Sable Forks High School in 1954. Worked at the North Pole from 1953-1954, B&G Specialty Shop in Plattsburgh from 1954 to 1955, National Commercial Bank & Trust Co. from 1955-1973. She was a Tupperware dealer from 1978-2003.
Survivors include children, Tim (Jean) Mousseau, Sue (Brian) Bezio, Tom (Dawn) Mousseau; grandchildren, Evan (Terran) Mousseau, Nate Mousseau, Jordan (Kelly) Bezio, Bryn and Dakota Mousseau; brother-in-law, Fran Sorrell, Raymond (Judy) Mousseau; sister-in-law, Nadine Burgess.
Predeceased by her parents, Neil and Alice, her husband Bob; her sister, Kathryn Sorrell; brothers, Bill, Bob (Pat) Burgess; sisters-in-law, Helen O'Brien, Winnie Mousseau; brothers-in-law, Hugh O'Brien, Jim Mousseau.
Family requests donations be made to the Holy Name Church in Au Sable Forks, N.Y.
The Thwaits-Zaumetzer Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
A viewing (wake) will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Feb. 27, 2019, at Thwaits-Zaumetzer Funeral Home, 3 College St., Au Sable Forks, N.Y. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Feb. 28, 2019, at Holy Name Church, 10 Church Lane, Au Sable Forks, N.Y.

Our sincere condolences to the entire Mousseau family. Rest assured that Jean is where she has longed to be ..with her beloved Bob in the Lord's kingdom. They will continue to watch their family from above with their arms around each other smiling those bright beautiful smiles of theirs. Miss Jean"s phone visits. RIP.

Our thoughts are with you and your family. No matter how long we were away from the Forks whenever Jean saw me she would always say hi. It amazedme how she could remember us. She teuly was a wonderful lady.
