James F. Judkins Jr., 82, of Algonquin Park Rd., passed away Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, at Elizabethtown Hospital.
He was born on Feb. 8, 1936, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of James and Marjorie (Yeager) Judkins.
James served as a pilot for 21 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Major. He married Susan Church, who passed away in Sept. 2, 2013. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and taking care of his dog Lottie. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Rotary Club, the Corvette Club and the Horseless Carriage of America.
Survivors include, his son, James Judkins III and his wife Jennifer of Mooers; his daughter, Stephanie Barstow and her husband John of Potsdam; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Monday, February 19th from 4 to 6 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. John's Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will be in the spring at St. Mary's of the Lake on Cumberland Head.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Cumberland Head Fire Department.
