Hilda L. Phair Hilda L. Phair, 75, of 6 Country Lane in Mooers, N.Y., passed away on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, at the UVM Health Network, CVPH, Plattsburgh as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
She was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on Oct. 18, 1943, the daughter of Charles Wellington Potter and the former Bessie Colgan.
Hilda grew up in Hemmingford, Quebec, with her parents and siblings. In her later teen years, Hilda attended NACS in Ellenburg where she graduated. Hilda worked at the Bettie Apple Orchard in Hemmingford, Chazy Apple Orchard, raised four boys on the family farm, and provided private health assistance for the elderly. Some of Hilda's favorite pass times include volunteering at the Mooers Food Pantry, various jobs at the Mooers Wesleyan Church which included acting director of the Sunday school program, bowling, and attending the Mooers Camp Association. Hilda loved attending the Havelock Fair every year.
Survivors include her sons, David Phair from Denton, Mont., Bobby and Sarah Phair, Raymond and Shannon Phair, and Brian Phair, all from Mooers, grandchildren include Cheyenne Phair from Denton, Mont., Sabrina Phair, Alyssa Heath, Josh Rabideau, and Kaidence Heath from Mooers. Her brother, Edwin and Anita Potter from Hemmingford, Quebec; her sisters-in-law, Joyce Phair from Mooers, Betty and Dale Gebo from Plattsburgh, and Debbie Potter from Hemmingford; brother-in-law Roger Wilfore from Chazy, N.Y. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her beloved church family.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Ester Wilfore, and brother, Eldon Potter.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 793 Gilbert Road, Mooers. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at 6 p.m. at the Mooers Wesleyan Church, with Pastor John Gillette presiding. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Hilda L. Phair may be made to the Mooers Wesleyan Church, the Mooers Vol Fire Dept, or the Mooers Food Pantry.

Hilda, We have been friends for a good many years and always enjoyed hearing about your boys who you were so proud of.We certainty will miss you at our 55th class reunion this year but know you will still be remembered for the friend you were all to us classmates at ECS. May you rest in peace my dear friend as you so deserve it.

Hilda my friend, you will be greatly missed at our table. We have worked well for years. Not seeing you come through those doors on Tuesday and me teasing you about the time is going to be hard. You are with God and sitting at his table now with no more pain. May God be with your family as we say goodbye.

Our most sincere condolences to the family of Hilda .. she was such a great neighbor and friend to my grandparents , The Lavalleys, for many years . She was always there for them and always looked out for them. May she Rest In Peace and continue to look over us all.

Hilda was loved by so many people. She would make sure I was happy and always a kind word and smile.. I considered her my sister I will miss her. She"s now in arms of Jesus and healed.
