Herbert "Herbie"'s Story
Herbert "Herbie" A. Trainor Jr., of Ticonderoga, walked into the arms of his Savior, on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, at Heritage Commons Residential Health Care of Ticonderoga.
Born in Ticonderoga, he is the son of the late Herbert A. Trainor Sr. and Katie (Nichols) Trainor, who survives him, of Port St. Lucie, Fla.
Herb was well known in the community as an excellent auto mechanic, welder and fabricator, as well as for his love of disco music and dancing.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Barbara (Hayes) Trainor; his mother, Katie Trainor of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; two daughters, Lisa Hubert and her husband Scott of Port Richie, Fla.; and Krystal Proietti and her husband, Steven of Crown Point; three stepchildren, Daniela Fabiani, Johnpaul Fabiani, and Telba Cavero; four brothers, James Trainor, Leo Dean Trainor, David Trainor, Worth Trainor; and five sisters, Angela Crossman, Pamela Impola, Sandra Jones, Susan Walsh and Deanna Trainor. He is also survived by six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga.
A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at the Lakeside Regional Church of Hague. The Rev. Skip Trembley, will officiate.
Interment will take place at a later date at the family plot of the Long Lake Cemetery.
