Harold J. Sorrell, 85, a resident of Glen Burnie, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018, at Hospice of the Chesapeake.
Mr. Sorrell was born May 19, 1933 in Au Sable Forks, N.Y., to the late Oril and Viola Sorrell. He served honorably in the Air Force from 1952 to 1965. He worked for the Department of Defense NSA from 1965 until his retirement in 1988. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #7025 Father McGivney Council. He was also a member of the Church of the Crucifixion in Glen Burnie.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Sorrell is preceded in death by his wife of 54 and a half years, Constance Sorrell. He is survived by his son Kevin Sorrell and his wife Lisa of Pasadena, Md., daughter Wanda Wagner and her husband Robert of Glen Burnie, Md., brother Francis Sorrell of Keeseville, N.Y., grandchildren Kristi Sorrell, Lauren Wagner, Matthew Wagner and great-grandchildren Amelia Wagner and Emma Wagner.
Friends may call Thursday, July 12th from 5 to 8 p.m. at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122. Services will be held Friday, July 13th at 10 a.m. at Church of the Crucifixion in Glen Burnie. Interment is at Meadowridge Memorial Park.
