SARANAC - Gregory J. Buckley, 64, of Canning Rd., Saranac, passed away Dec. 25, 2017, surrounded by his loving family at UVHN-CVPH Medical Center.
Greg was born on Sept. 25, 1953, in Plattsburgh, the son of Robert and Rita (Gregory) Buckley.
He was a graduate of St. John's in Plattsburgh.
Greg married Caroline Perry on Sept. 9, 1983, at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora.
He owned and operated Adirondack Mountain Express. He enjoyed spending time with his family and making his grandchildren smile. When the weather was right he was snowmobiling or going for jeep rides. Greg was known for his sense of humor and unforgettable personality, he could make you laugh or put a smile on your face.
Survivors include his wife, Caroline Rose Buckley of Saranac; his son, Robert John Buckley of Saranac; his daughters, Sarah Elizabeth Buckley of Atlanta, Mary Catherine Buckley and Jessee Lawyer of Saranac, Kristina Rose Buckley of Saranac, Alicia Ann Buckley and Nader Hack of Saranac; his sisters, Jane Ehrich, Maryann LeFevre, Peggy and Mitch Rabideau, Patty Craig; his grandchildren, Leighanna Alexis, Karina Brielle, John Gregory; 10 nieces and 8 nephews
Greg was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Rita Buckley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday Dec. 30th at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora.
Donations may be made to the North Country Cancer Fund or the Clinton County Board of Realtors Wish Fund.
