Gordon E. Bezio, 49, of Galway, N.Y., passed away peacefully on Jan. 16, 2018, at Saratoga Hospital following a long illness. His loving family was by his side. Born in Elizabethtown, N.Y., on Aug. 30, 1968, he is the son of the late James Bernard and Lillian Mae Malbon Bezio.
He attended Galway Central School and then was employed there as a Grounds Keeper for almost 30 years until his retirement due to poor health. Gordie was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing. He looked gruff but those who knew him also knew he was the kindest soul. He will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Jane Bezio whom he wed on Aug. 25, 2001.
He is also survived by daughter Christine Crawford of Pennsylvania and son, William Crawford of Syracuse, N.Y.; brother Robert Bezio (Mary) and sister Diane Gravell (Jessie) both of Broadalbin. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
He is predeceased by his brother, James B. Bezio.
Upon Gordie's wishes he will be laid to rest in West Galway Cemetery. There will be no formal calling hours or funeral at this time.
